Photon Frenzy
Photon Frenzy is an open source, retro-inspired shoot-em-up. It features a never-ending game loop (unless you die of course!) Enemies spawn in the same order, but the patterns are randomized and waves get closer together over time to keep up the pressure. Give it a go and post a screenshot of your high score in comments!
This project started life as game called "Space Ace" in the "Jumpstart to 2D Game Development: Godot 4.3+ for Beginners" tutorial on Udemy. As I expanded the game with more content, I opted to rename it. I had a lot of fun with this so I thought it would be worth sharing.
